Brabantio enters and Iago exits...

Brabantio
You Othello can not be gay, you must marry my daughter Desdemona so one finds out about your deep dark secret

Othello
How did you know about this?

Brabantio
I saw you last night kissing Iago at the lake

Othello
I cannot marry your daughter because I love Iago.

Brabantio
You can not destroy your manly reputation, this will ruin everything you have worked for.

Othello
I will never speak of this again but i will not marry someone I do not love.

Brabantio
If you do not marry desdemona then i will tell everyone your secret

Othello
You could not do that to me that would ruin me

Brabantio
I will if i have too, you have too marry my daughter

Othello
But i do not love desdemona, she does not deserve to be hurt by someone that does not love her. She needs a man who loves and values her.

Brabantio
I already said you’re marrying my daughter and if you don’t I will make sure everyone finds out you’re gay.

Desdemona and othello at a church getting married

Priest.
Do u desdemona take othello to be your husband

Desdemona
I do

Priest.
Do u othello take desdemona to be your wife

Othello
I…. Can’t do this I don’t wanna be with desdemona I wanna be with iago he’s the one I love and i don’t wanna be with someone I don’t love, desdemona deserves to be with someone who loves her. Iago your the one I want to be with…

Othello I feel the same way I love u so much I just didn’t wanna ruin our reputations but it doesn’t matter anymore your the one I wanna be with and I rather be with you then be unhappy for the rest of my life.

Iago and othello then got together and were happy.

    I like the creativity of the story, and how the writers came up with something new and very different. It is very interesting how Brabantio is black mailing Othello. I think the story would be easier to follow if the writers used correct punctuation. For example, ¨Do u Othello take Desdemona to be your wife¨ should say ¨Do you, Othello, take Desdemona to be your wife?¨.

    this has good drama to it, how othello is gay but Barbontio wants him to marry his daughter so he doesnt ruin his manly reputation. i love it. -EO

    one specific thing that i like about this is that nobody dies in this fanfiction. One thing that could be improved is add a little bit more detail to the story. like how did Iago and Othello come about the feelings and like how they met. S.S

    it had a good plot concept however it was very short and i feel as if the story would have been much better if had been fleshed out more and had more of an actual plot

    It's cool how the love story is twisted and Othello actually is in love with Iago, but Barbantio blackmails Othello to get him to marry Desdemona. -SS
